OUR ANIMALS
THE PIGS
We ahem traditional breed of Oxford Sandy and Black pigs. With our four Sows Lois, Leslie, Bella, and Brenda. We breed our own piglets to grow on and fatten to supply The Butchery and The Larder Café here on The Farm. They live outdoors in their sty’s throughout the year, free to graze in the fields.
THE CATTLE
Our Aberdeen Angus cattle spend the spring and summer grazing on the meadow grass, they are then brought into the barns for the colder, wetter months. Here they are finished on a mixture of silage grass and barley, which has been grown and harvested on The Farm earlier in the year.
